Bears star in England clean sweep.

Warwickshire players gave their bit over the weekend when representing England in the 42nd British Internationals held at the Golden Palms Resort complex in Chapel St Leonards Skegness. A memorable weekend where the Youth Girls and Boys both won their respective titles as did the Senior teams.

The England Youth girls had Hannah Meek who gained her place courtesy of her England Grand Prix rankings and also her form when playing County Youth for Worcestershire. Hannah won one and lost one but showed the darting public that there is a force about to be released that will see her rise within the game.

The England Youth Boys contained Jenson Walker who has been performing well in the Grand Prix events and JDC Advanced tour also Senior County. Jenson completed two victories from his two games and again highlighting his emergence amongst the great players of the future.

The England Senior Ladies team whilst not having any Warwickshire players were majestic when winning 5-1 over Scotland and 6-0 over Wales.

The England Senior men’s team had our very own Noel Grant and Jamie Atkins also both making their International debuts, both produced some brilliant darts on the weekend winning both and Jamie produced an Man of the Match and Weekend after his showing against Wales. This also saw the side managed by Neil Pritchard who stepped in due to some unfortunate circumstances for the actual manager.

Also from the weekend we had another of the County team in Gareth Braham who represented his Country Wales, unfortunately he recorded two losses for his team but the stage looked comfortable for him although he did not give it the justice required.
