The County were well represented at the weekend when they had several players who had qualified for the National Finals of the BDO Gold Cup. Best outcome on the day was a quarter final placing for the Gullivers in the Ladies Pairs. Sue Gulliver also achieved a Quarter final place in the Ladies Singles where she was beaten over seven legs by a former Somerset County team mate in Karen Littler. Chloe bowed out in her 1st game by a 4-3 margin. Mens Pairs saw Antony Allen and Tom Martin win their first and 2nd game 4-1 but bow out 4-3 in the next. Tommy Ryan and Dean Stewart saw their run to the last 32 ended by the eventual runners up Cameron Menzies and Jim McEwan. Mens Singles was also fruitless with Noel Grant winning 4-0 then on the wrong end of one himself, Kevin Dowling 4-2 in the 1st and then losing 2-4 in the next, Jamie Hughes lost out in his first game but Graham Hall winning his first three games but then came unstuck in the last 32.
